I know, I know, I'm late on announcing the winner aren't I? I'm just too behind in life at the moment. How's that for a statement? Anyways...the winner is Sandy at 4 Reluctant Entertainers, whose blog I love to read. She makes me just want to lose my shyness and invite the neighbors over for dinner some Sunday afternoon. Sandy, please email me with your address and I'll mail these out to you.
David is in the air at the moment flying to the UK. He actually left yesterday to go to San Jose for two days and then onto England. We can already feel his absence. You would think after 10 years of marriage, having a distance between us, would be okay. But I still feel an emptiness inside my chest. Kind of a dull ache. Sigh....
I came downstairs when it was just starting.
I tried to wake up dh thinking it would be rather romantic and soulful to share the eclipse together. I woke him and said "do you want to come and watch the eclipse with me." He mumbled "not really" and turned over and went back to sleep. He did catch the end when he woke up at 5am just not with me.
This last photo is my favorite. I don't remember ever experiencing such a long and drawn out eclipse before. But then I'm not usually up at 2am either. It was so stunning and left me truly in awe at mother nature.
