First Edition Points - 1st edition books can be very tricky to research. This site will help you on your way to discovering whether your book is a 1st edition or not.

Artnet.com - Art.net is a subscription based site but does allow you to search for an artist. The artist and their work will show up although the sale price of any auctions do not unless you are a paying member.
Art Signatures - an incredible database of artist signatures.
Kitchen
Antique Cupboard - online database of sterling silver flatware, silverplate, and holloware with over 2000 silver patterns in stock. A huge collection of photos that I found very easy to search through when trying to research a pattern of flatware.

CraigsPro (free) -Search Craigslist while out and about. You can save searches and different cities that will show up on one screen.
Terapeak - Free to download but it does require a subscription based membership to access data. Great resource for looking up to 90 of completed auctions.
eBay - (free) A variety of apps that let you check on the status of your auctions, list auctions, research auctions and of course shop.
Christie's Auction House - (free) allows you to take a look at over 450 auctions in over 80 categories including all areas of fine and decorative arts, jewelry, photographs, collectibles, wine, and more.
Antiques Roadshow - ($2.99) This app which is a game actually incorporates real antiques, photos, item histories and values, as appraised on the TV series. This might be considered educational while waiting in line at an estate sale.

All Dolled Up - useful site with photos and information about metal dollhouses, fashion dolls, paper dolls and more.
