Mod Boxes

Mod art can be found in the most fabulous of places. Today I ran across a box of vintage Store boxes in my office. When I'm out procuring inventory I often buy items because of the packaging. Advertising, logos and even simple catch phrases and taglines can really let you look into a window of a previous time in a sort of Mad Men way.

The top two images are shoe boxes and the bottom one is a very thin box from the department store Rosenberg's in Santa Rosa.

Do you find yourself collecting Mod ephemera because of the images and art?

OMG! I had a pair of those shoes waaaay back in the day! I kept the box for a long time & still love seeing the art on Department Store boxes, especially - Hat boxes=FAB!

I absolutely love retro graphics in cookbooks. I rarely use them for the recipes. I just can't sell the ones with quirky designs.
